Located in the southeast of Zhejiang province. Lucheng District is the political,economic and cultural center of Wenzhou city. It was firstly built year of Dongjing Taining(323A.D.) It is said that white deer passed by holding flowers in its mouth when the city was being built, because of which it is called the Lucheng. Since ancient times, a myraid of businessmen come together to Lucheng which has always been called “Famous Dongous Town” . During Southern Song period, a poet named Yangpan, wrote a poem like “Wenzhou is like small Hangzhou because of its prosperity. Lucheng is surrounded by mountains and faces rivers. Inside the city there are mountains and waters. It has the reputation of being as beautiful as a painting.
　　Writing style of Lucheng has been at the height of power and splendour, and talented people are produced by each generation from everlasting, for example, Xie lingyun, the originator of chinese landscape poems during East Jin period and Yeshi, the represen ative of Yongjia School of Thought during Southern Song period. It si also said that Wang Xizhi, a great callgraphy master has left relics like “Mochi” here.

It has won good titles of national industrial production bases like “China Shoes City” , “China shaves Production Base ” and “China Metal Shell Lighters Production Base”.
